Practice Update
Online Therapy in the time of Covid-19
In order to protect all present and future clients from being exposed to the Covid-19 virus, all therapy is taking place online only.

Face-to-face consultations will only recomence once the therapy room can once again offer the guarantee of being a place of safety.

I am a registered psychologist practicing just off Beyers Naude Drive in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg. I work with adults who want help addressing the stresses and crises in their lives—problems ranging from difficulty with feelings of anger, anxiety, depression, low self esteem to money issues, marital conflicts and other relationship difficulties. In my experience, the key ingredient to a successful therapy is the comfort, connection and trust the client feels toward the psychologist. With this in mind, I've designed this website to provide some information about myself and my approach to therapy.

I know that taking that first step to consult a psychologist can feel daunting and sometimes a bit bewildering. As such, I have included a page addressing some of the more commonly asked questions people have about seeing a psychologist.

Please feel free to browse the services and to contact me by sending an email to info@ambermahony.co.za. Because I don't take calls when in my consulting room, I am often unable to receive calls. I do check my emails frequently however - so this is the easier way to contact me.
